The Cavaliers have singled out PF Amare Stoudemire as their number 1 target to try to acquire before the trade deadline. The Cavs would probably send Zydrunas Ilgauskas and J.J. Hickson to Phoenix in a deal. The risk is that Hickson develops into an all star PF, and Stoudemire leaves after 1 year through free agency. The potential reward is an NBA Championship right now. If the Cavaliers would land Stoudemire, they become the clear favorites to win the NBA Championship this year.
Look for the Browns to add a veteran WR to the roster via free agency. Adding a veteran would help take pressure off young WR's Mohamed Massaquoi and Brian Robiskie. It also would give who ever is the qb a security blanket to look for. Some names to keep in mind are.
Kevin Walter- Very sure hands and runs good routes. Injuries slowed him down last season
Chris Chambers- A Cleveland native that showed he wasn't done when he got to KC.
Nate Burelson- Had a nice bouncback year after missing nearly all of the 2008 season.
Tory Holt- He will probably be released by the Jags. He can still play!
With the Buckeyes only adding 1 offensive lineman in the 2010 recruiting class, look for Ohio State to need at least 4 offensive lineman in the 2011 class.
The Buckeyes also must add a top notch QB recruit to this class. The last two recruiting classes have added 3 star recruits Kenny Guiton and Taylor Graham. Neither Guiton or Graham are considered top notch QB prospects. The Buckeyes have already offered *****Star QB recruits Braxton Miller from Ohio and Darius Jennings from Maryland.
The Indians are looking to possibly add a bat to the lineup in the likes of Jermaine Dye, Hank Blalock, or Russell Branyan. The Tribe is looking for a bottom of the barrel bargain. The Indians have a heavy left handed hitting lineup, so adding a right handed bat does make sense. That would seem to make Dye the more likely fit.
Jake Westbrook is already in Arizona and is throwing off the mound pain free. Barring a setback Jake will be the opening day starter for the Indians.
